Editor-in-Chief - The Turban Times

I founded The Turban Times first as a Facebook blog (2014) and later as an (award-nominated) web magazine in 2016, with the objective of bringing nuance to the way we cover the MENA region in Western media. Focusing on youth, women, minorities, and rights, our team of journalists and bloggers from Europe and MENA work to bring to light untold, human-focused stories.

UCPH-based, NASIM is the Network of Academics, Students, and other Interested in the Middle East. In my 3,5 years at NASIM, I contributed greatly in shaping the organization and helped develope it into becoming one of Denmark’s largest MENA networks.

Cooperation between Danish, Egyptian, and Jordanian NGOs with the objective of enhancing mutual understanding between youth across national, cultural and other divides by means of dialogue.

Danish charity organization where I headed the department of communications continuously, functioned as vice chairman of the board, and coordinated a range of fundraising events in the shape of sports and gaming tournaments, charity dinners, and more, attended by thousands and resulting in the raising of more than DKK 2 million which went to emergency aid and microfinance projects in Asian and African countries.
