“It’s all because of Oslo”

Stuck outside of the newly upgraded Israeli checkpoint – due to the Jewish holiday of Succot, which the settlers inside are celebrating – dividing the West Bank city of Hebron/al Khalil in zone H1 and H2, restricting Palestinian freedom of movement in their own home city, as an older Palestinian man walks by, to enter the occupation’s ‘security machine’ (which was once just a shack) to be able to get to his home, who turns around and says:

Do you know why this is here? It’s all because of Oslo.

Palestinian waiting patiently outside the military checkpoint in al-Khalil/Hebron while the young Israeli soldiers insides are chattering, making jokes, taking their time.
